Beech frame, 2022

This is a old piece dating from when I was a student at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. At the time I was interested in the cut and paste techniques in literature of William Burroughs and experimented with combining written word and magazine images. This piece I finished off relatively recently by combining it with a solid beech hardwood frame made from pieces of an old painting easel which I cut and glued to size.
